From ExWhu's column on TheWestHamWay.co.UK

"The chairman are fully aware of how much we need a regular goalscorer. I have spoken myself with DS and he has expressed how much we need one and how he feels Payet’s talents are not utilised as much as they should as we don’t have someone consistently putting away the chances he creates. Who that forward will be is unclear. I have regularly told how Lacazette is the number one target and it remains that way. He is the one that all efforts will turn to. We are preparing a near £30m bid for him. The transfer will smash our current £15m record with Andy Carroll, who picked up an injury at the end of the match. Of course there are other top targets: Batshuayi is another top target and again we will make moves for him but we face a lot of competition for his signature. Vardy was the player who I spoke about last week and we are prepared to activate a release clause and double his salary to sign the player, whether he will want to come is a different matter. The list of forwards that we have is around 10 (including three Argentinians and Ibrahimović). Most of which I have covered in previous columns and we will sign at least one other forward.

We will bring in another right back too. I spoke last week again of these targets which include: Gregory van der Wiel, his PSG teammate Serge Aurier, Debuchy of Arsenal, Rafael da Silva the ex-Manchester United right back and a couple of other French right backs. Slav also has a couple from his Turkish days that he is interested in too.

I reported in my fanzine column that we were interested in wingers from clubs that could potentially be relegated and they both have gone down now. The targets were Townsend (who has an £8m release clause) and today’s goalscorer Wijnaldum, who we have been interested in previously and Redmond of Norwich City. Tore, from Turkey is another potential signature. There has been some interest in Walcott and the player is apparently keen to come but we are unlikely to pay his wage demands, for a player who is injury prone. . We have a clear policy to avoid injury prone players now.

Remember we have already signed Harvard Nordtveit, a Norwegian defensive midfielder, this signature should be confirmed on the official site in the next few days. "

Serve Aurier would be a great signing IMO.

We have been involved with the brokerage of Lacazette joining #whufc . The amount is agreed, just working on the payment structure.

He also posted this a few days back..

Deals for Alexandre Lacazette and Benteke to West Ham United are very close to being agreed. Transfer fees agreed. #whufc

Re: Transfer Rumour thread
There is no way we would buy both, Sullivan adopts a scatter gun approach, sends out bids for several players in the positions hoping 1 would come off. If we bought both our budget would probably be shot, unless we had monies coming in for players.

One last thought, would we play both in the team at once ?

Surely would mean 1 of Lanzini or Antonio dropping out

http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/670957/Newcastle-West-Ham-Andros-Townsend-father-future-transfer-news

ANDROS TOWNSEND will not leave Newcastle this summer, according to his father.

It is thought the Magpies will look to offload a number of their high earners as they prepare for life in the Championship.

But Townsend's dad, Troy, told BBC 5Live that the England international is keen on building on his start to life on Tyneside.

“Newcastle could rise quickly and Andros looks forward to many more seasons with them," he said.

Leroys. Sorry, didn't see your post. That's what I assumed it was, making offers on a few strikers and seeing who bites. Unless we have decent money coming in from sales?

Good question, re who would get played.

Re: Transfer Rumour thread
Halilovic for £4m is a no brainer even if Bar a do have a £10m buy back clause. He would have to perform at a very high level for them to want to exercise that and would produce £6m profit. Both would suit us.

Crassus 11:02 Tue May 17
Re: Transfer Rumour thread
Ron
Beg to differ, he would have to perform like a 10m plus player, which is not that difficult, they would then buy him and sell him, he would have to pull up a few trees to make their first team of course but this is just a commercial transaction - akin to Morata at Real

Re: Transfer Rumour thread
I suspect we'll look to buy two quality strikers, and look to ship out at least two that we have.

Valencia, Sakho and Emineke could well all leave.

Going into the season with a triumvirate of Lacazette, Carroll and Benteke...would be quite the turnaround!

Lacazette can also play either left or right, so is particularly versatile.

Alan 11:26 Tue May 17

Stubbo, I'm going for Lacazette, Carroll and Andre Ayew.

Nope.
Jordan wouldn't get near the team, Andre certainly would.

Re: Transfer Rumour thread
I also agree that Halilovic at £4m would be a no brainer.

He is shit, we haven't lost much in this market and probably get most of it back.

If he fulfills his potential under an understanding Croatian manager, Barcelona want to buy him back for £10m, we just negotiate with them to buy out the clause. We pay them another £10-£15m (if he's worth it) and they keep their £10m and they get the £20m-£25m they would expect to sell him for without the hassle or risk of signing him and all the fees, etc and we have just bought a £20-£25m player at a £6m discount.

Re: Transfer Rumour thread
I think Benteke and Lacazette is realistic.

By all accounts our budget is 30m for a decent striker and the sale of Valencia and Sakho would cover Benteke.

Hopefully those 2, a decent winger (Tore) and a RB.

Think we will also sell one of Reid / Tomkins and get in another quality CB.

cornish 1:14 Tue May 17
Re: Transfer Rumour thread
Maybe lacazette deal includes sakho as part exchange?

Stubbo 1:39 Tue May 17
Re: Transfer Rumour thread
Agree Ayew would be a great upgrade/replacement for Moses, and can play through the middle too.

I can't see us getting Tore. Bilic obviously likes him but it's just too easy to make the connection. If that was happening suspect would be almost sealed by now.

Reckon Townsend is a possible though.

Key for me will be who we sign at right back, and seeing what happens at Centre Back.

Ogbonna has been a class act for me...will Bilic be happy with what we've got + Burke, or will he look to sell Tomkins/Reid and bring someone new in?

Also, Randolph firmly established himself as number 2 in the last 3 games for me.

Should be a good window, and by all accounts it sounds like we'll look to do our business early
